Projects Abroad Business Briefing


On Tuesday 8th August, the British Chamber Southwest China hosted a Panel Discussion about doing business in China with Projects Abroad for a large group of secondary school students who are very interested in Business. The event was held in the boardroom of the British Business Centre in Chengdu!

Events and Marketing Manager, Anita Lai hosted the event and gave a introduction into the Biritish Chamber of Commerce in South West China is. Anita then introduced Vice-Chairman of the Chamber, Roman Leung who first gave the students an introduction to China and how its history and culture shape its modern business practices.

Roman who is originally from Hong Kong shared his experiences as a businessman in China and the gave the students the key information about the Chinese market, the critical issues and they key factors of success for doing business within China. The talks were followed by a Q&A session in which the students had many interesting questions for Roman.

Once the Questions had all been answered, it was time for the students to deliver their startup business proposals to the Panel. Each team delivered a great presentation and came up with a fantastic initiative business idea, the panel then gave feedback on how each business could develop their ideas into reality. It was a very insightful afternoon for these group of students, we wish them well in their further education and business ventures!
