Event Review | Education Focus Group Meeting


The second quarterly Education Focus Group meeting was held on Thursday 13th of June. The meeting brought together representatives from across the education sector and gave them a platform to introduce themselves and discuss potential collaborations. The meeting also discussed staff development opportunities and  invited attendees to  participate in collaborative Britcham events and foster a sense of community.

Introductions

Representatives from organisations across the sector-including primary schools, STEM extra-curricular programmes, university application and support services and a debate and public speaking academy-presented updates on their projects and potential opportunities to collaborate.

Global goals day: presentation and discussion

Presentation on the UN’s sustainable development goals, particularly 4.5 and 4.7. Discussion on how different organisations address them at present and what role individuals/ educators and the private sector can play going forwards. Invitation to all to join together and “make some noise” about sustainable development.
