Summary of Role – Buyer

Responsible for the purchasing and buying activities within the Supply Chain department, ensuring that products and services are effectively sourced and delivered on time, at an acceptable price meeting agreed quality criteria. This shall include monitoring and ongoing development of all Sigma suppliers and identification of additional suppliers who would be able to satisfy future requirements of the business. Responsible for monitoring suppliers’ performance. Responsible for coordinating logistics issues, including storage, packaging and transportation issues. Responsible for the administration of operations ensuring procedures are in place and adhered to, meeting regulatory and customer requirements.

Key Tasks

  • Buying of material or products or service within the supply chain.
  • Identification of suppliers who have capability, capacity and experience to satisfy our requirements and those of our customers.
  • Co-ordinate enquiries, orders and negotiate contracts with potential suppliers
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance and have regular communication with them to help improving
  • Ensure procedures related to purchasing are in place and adhere to and meet aerospace quality requirements and customer requirements. 
  • Co-ordinate logistics management issues, this will include importing of raw materials, any internal transportation and delivery of finished goods to point of delivery.
  • Any other tasks deemed commensurate with your role by management

Qualities Required

  • At least 3-year related experience in foreign company, working experience in aerospace company takes advantage.
  • Skilled negotiator, who is able to manage relationships with suppliers, particularly overseas suppliers, partners, etc and obtain maximum benefit for the business.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Skilled in ERP system.
  • Good at Excel/Word/PPT.

Summary of Role – Customer Service

Responsible for managing all Customer activities and ensuring levels of support given are in accordance with customer and business requirements. Will oversee all related activities and ensure procedures and processes are strictly adhered to flowing information from all customers through the business and co-ordinating activities to ensure we manage quotes and orders effectively meeting timescales given. Will closely monitor performance and manage feedback to continually improve systems and business performance to ensure we develop industry leading levels of customer service and support.

Key Tasks

  • Order management within ERP system, and coordinate with related departments for contract review
  • Develop and maintain an effective New Product Introduction Process ensuring each key projects are managed in line with agreed goals
  • Monthly shipment arrangement
  • Set up and maintain effective KPIs to analyse performance in relevant areas, weekly meeting to update the production status
  • Co-ordinate enquiries, orders and negotiate contracts wherever necessary in weekly meeting, monthly phone call meetings with customers to update order status
  • Any other tasks deemed commensurate with your role by management

Qualities Required

  • Degree in relevant discipline
  • 3 years experiences in a Customer Interface role, ideally for a multinational manufacturing company
  • Customer champion, with a track record of implementing the highest levels of performance and support
  • Skilled negotiator, who is able to manage relationships with customers, partners, and obtain maximum benefit for the business.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Skilled in ERP system and Excel/Word/PPT
