CD: Earth Day Bike Ride Review

To celebrate Earth Day the Britcham’s sustainable working group escaped the city and headed out to Jinjiang 198 Lohas Greenway for an educational bike ride.The day was enjoyed by all 40 of the members and friends of Britcham that joined. We were able to use the centres facilities, learn about conservation methods, meet new friends and relax over a picnic. We would like to thank everybody that joined the event and also thank our sponsors, Urban Hybrid Architecture, QSI, and Shift View.

CD 2013 Inter-Chamber Spring Mixer Review

Wednesday evening saw Chengdu’s Chambers assemble at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the 2013 Inter-Chamber Spring Mixer.  The event was a great success with over 150 members and representatives of business around Chengdu attending. The evening was a fantastic opportunity for our members and friends to network and build new relationships. Britcham would like to extend our thanks to all our members for their support and participation and again to Crowne Plaza for hosting and such an enjoyable event. We are now looking forward to 2014 Spring Mixer!

Event Review: 2013 BCCSWC Annual General Meeting

On Thursday 21st March the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China successfully held the 2013 Annual General Meeting at the Intercontinental Chengdu. Over 120 members and special guests attended to participate and witness the election of the new Executive Committee. Over the course of the evening BCCSWS’s Chairwoman Yong Zhao reviewed the Chamber’s performance during 2012, Benny Zhong presented the Chamber’s financial report and General Manager Sophie Xu discussed the upcoming plans for the Chamber for 2013.

The Annual General Meeting of BCCSWC Chongqing launched successfully at the InterContiental Hotel Chongqing on 7th March, which was BCCSWC Chongqing's first formal gathering event to review the prosperous development of Chongqing office in past year and sponsored by British Consulate-General Chongqing, UKTI and Qatar Airways.
