BritCham Helps JinJiang District's 'Home of the Heart' Charity Open New Shop

BritCham is proud to announce that through fund-raising efforts and the support of our members and staff over the past six months, we have raised enough money to help JinJiang District's Home of the Heart charity open a special shop near Hongxing Road. Wednesday, May 16th marked the opening day of the store, which is dedicated to selling knits and handicrafts specially crafted by local people with disabilities. Home of the Heart aids the disabled through skills-training and support, giving them the chance to learn, work, and have a better future.

The Chamber is honoured to have worked closely with Home of the Heart on several events in the past, such as the ABE Charity Christmas Party, Zebra Music Festival and the BCCSWC Olympic Torch Relay. We will continue to cooperate with Home of the Heart in upcoming projects and wish them the best of luck with their new shop. We encourage everyone to contribute to this great cause and purchase their beautiful handicrafts, learn more about what the charity is doing, and get involved in future events!
