Torch Arrival in Chongqing 火炬传递重庆地区正式启动

The British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China will launch the Torch Relay in Chongqing on July 16th, the relay will last until July 27th, the day of the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics. The first organization which received the torch in Chongqing was the British Consulate in Chongqing. The staff at the consulate were very enthusiastic and proud to know that the torch was coming to them, knowing that the torch represents the Olympic Games and its spirit, which will be hosted by the UK this year. Some other organizations also participated in the torch relay later, including the Culture and Education Department of the British Consulate, and Senswins in Chongqing.

In the following days many more members of the British Chamber of Commerce in Southwest China will take part in the Torch Relay activity. This event will not only spread the theme of the London Olympics, but also promote further corporations and communication among members and our networks. Meanwhile, photos and reports will be published on the social media site of the British Chamber of Commerce. 

中国西南英国商会的火炬传递重庆部分于7月16日正式启动并且将延续至7月27日，也就是英国伦敦奥运会开幕仪式当天。“火炬传递”的第一站是驻重庆的英国领事馆。领事馆的全体工作人员对于此活动十分重视，在火炬到来之前便做足了迎接。作为奥运东道主，他们也对在中国传递的伦敦圣火表现除了十分的敬仰与热情。驻重庆的其他几家英国机构随后也参与到了火炬传递中，其中有
英国总领事馆文化教育处和英国威尔士政府驻重庆办公室。

在接下来几天这支火炬还将传递到中国西南英国商会在重庆的各个会员企业，充分传达火炬所蕴含的奥林匹克精神，促进商会与会员企业之间的合作沟通和团队精神。届时“火炬传递”活动的照片也将登上中国西南英国商会的官方微博。
