将全新的飞机引入商业或军事用途需要广泛的认证测试才能交付客户使用。Sikorsky S-92 是一种运输直升机，具有非常安全的设计特点，比如故障容错、抗鸟撞、涡轮爆裂控制和基准耐撞性。作为FAA认证性能飞行测试的一部分，Sikorsky需要将JP-8喷气燃料在标准55美国加仑桶中安全预热至136°F（58°C），并通过经批准的带过滤的地面燃油泵输送至飞机油箱。桶需要通风，因此存在闪点仅为100°F左右的燃油蒸汽，潜在火灾风险非常高。因为英特海利生产的Thermosafe®防爆电感应加热器的加热原理与传统的辐射加热装置相比要安全很多，于是Sikorsky找到了英特海利在英国的总公司LMK进行航空燃料加热的方案商讨。在金属桶壁被感应效果的加热过程中，加热器总是比被加热的桶温度低，因此，其关键安全使用标准是危险蒸汽的自燃温度。JP-8是一种煤油型燃料，其自燃温度远高于欧洲认可用于危险区域的热安全装置的170°C（T3）安全额定值™。桶壁温度和燃油温度在整个测试过程中都被Sikorsky在佛罗里达的设备单独监控，并将结果上传到装有分析系软件的电脑上。在规定的时间内项目完成得非常成功。Sikorsky的协调员Charles Greenberg说：“安全是我们的首要任务，LMK的Thermosafe®防爆电感应加热器帮助我们解决了所有的潜在问题。在关键的策划和准备阶段英国总部给予的技术支持是非常棒的，同时我们对加热结果也非常满意。” Sikorsky的总部位于美国康涅狄格州的Hartford，是United Technologies公司（NYSE:UTX）的子公司,该公司为航空领域和建筑系统工业提供广泛的高科技产品和技术支持服务，并且也在中国上海设立了名为上海西科斯基飞机有限公司的子公司。英特海利的总公司LMK Thermosafe Ltd生产一系列的桶和其他容器加热器，应用于全世界各个行业的制造工业，其Thermosafe®防爆电感应加热器更是一款经久不衰的具有ATEX和IECEx双重防爆认证的防爆型加热器。点击下方“了解更多”可查看该款加热器的更多详情，也欢迎拨打028-63109707/06进行询问和免费报价。
