Yong Zhao - Chairwoman, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - Director of T.G.C.I. Group

Selected in 2009 and retained in 2010 and 2011, Yong Zhao is the first woman to serve as chairperson to the British Chamber of Commerce South West China. Yong Zhao has also served on the executive committee for four years and accumulated extensive experience working with the British Consulate, UKTI, CBBC, CBI, British Consul and Provincial and Municipal authorities in the area. She has supported many cross-chamber events and worked closely with charity groups like SQR.
During her term of office in the British Chamber of Commerce, and with the assistance of the British Consulate, she has established the Sub-Chamber Committee in Chongqing and sought to create more interactive activities across all sectors. She is striving to create member groups within the British Chamber that will allow them to connect local government and private organizations as well as British businesses. She has helped and supported many British business and wider British interests in the South West of China.
Yong is the operational Director of T.G.C.I. Group, a British construction and investment firm that has operated in China for ten years. She is also the China Director of K Group, and a partner at CLC UK. The companies’ areas of focus are UK-China focused and include property development, environmental protection, interior design, construction, branding, and business development.
She has experience in many facets of business, ranging from project development and management to recruiting, staffing and training for new and revamped projects as well as fund raising, contract negotiation and venture capital fund raising. She has nearly 20 years of business experience in China and the UK.
Richard Morgan - Vice-Chairman, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - General Manager of Equus Global Associates

Richard Morgan is a British citizen, educated in Europe and the US. He holds an MA Honours degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. After a short period working in media and marketing in London, he had the opportunity to move to China where he has remained for over eight years.
He is one of the founders and senior partners of Equus Global Associates Limited (EGAL), an international management consultancy. As a business consultant he has worked in diverse sectors of international business development often in close collaboration with government development agencies including the Delegation of the European Commission, the British Department of Trade and Industry, ICEX (The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade), the Welsh International Consortium and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
His work for the EU included the 2006 EU China Partenariat for which he was the Senior Consultant. This event was one of the largest business matching events in the history of the city. In his capacity as a business consultant, he has also worked in the hospitality and food & beverage sectors, (e.g. V & S Absolut Spirits and locally, the Jin Jiang Hotel).
He has participated in the British Chamber of Commerce South West China for seven years. Last year, as a Representative on the Executive Committee he served the joint effort to support the growth of the Chamber in Chongqing and moved to assist member companies gain practical support for their business aims wherever possible. He believes his experience will make a valuable contribution to the British Chamber of Commerce South West China’s mission in the region.
Tom Huang - Treasurer, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - Senior Manager of KPMG Chengdu

Starting his career in Chongqing in 2001 and joining the KPMG Chengdu team in 2006, Mr. Huang has nearly 10 years of experience working in Southwest China. He has extensive experience serving multi-national companies over a wide range of industries, including those from the UK, USA, Singapore, Japan and Europe.
Selected as BCCSWC Treasurer in 2011, Mr. Huang is excited to contribute his expertise in managing the finances of organization and hopes to be a positive addition to the British Chamber of Commerce South West China's greater goal of growth in 2011.
Bertrand Courtois - Representative, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - General Manager of Sofitel Wanda Chengdu

Mr. Bertrand Courtois, aged 46, holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages as well as a Post-Master’s Degree in International Administration. He entered the hospitality industry in 1989 and has 20 years of experience in hotel management. He has taken several senior posts such as General Manager, Executive Assistant Manager and hotel advisor in various Accor hotels around the world, including Wanda Sofitel Harbin, Sofitel Trilec Nanchang, Novotel Citygate Hong Kong, Sofitel Hyland Shanghai, Sofitel Plaza Saigon (Vietnam), and Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe.
Mr. Courtois has been working in China for the past 6 years and has recently joined the Sofitel Wanda Chengdu as its General Manager. After serving as a Vice-chairperson for 2010 Mr. Courois was elected as a representative for the British Chamber of Commerce South West China in 2011.
Steven Fan - Representative, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - General Manger of Willis Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd (Chengdu Branch)

Steven Fan and his family have lived and worked in Chengdu for an enjoyable 16 years. As loyal members of BCCSWC for the past 5 years, Willis Insurance Brokers and Steven together have witnessed the development of the Chamber. Both personally and professionally, Mr. Fan values BCCSWC's role in Chengdu's business community.
Elected to another term in 2011, Steven and Willis Inusrance are keen to take on the challenges of the new year.
Steven Fan is delighted to be of assistance to the British Chamber of Commerce South West China and its members, and wishes to serve as a bridge between in Chengdu's expatriates and local Chinese.
Lucy Luo - Representative, British Chamber of Commerce South West China - Branch Manager of AGS Four Winds International Movers, Sichuan Branch Office

Born and raised in Chengdu, Lucy Luo always dreamed of going overseas and seeing the world so that she could return home to contribute to South West China's development.
And go overseas she did. Ms. Luo studied in Toronto, Canada for seven years and then headed to the U.K. to earn degrees from York University. While abroad, she served as treasurer in the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars.
Ms. Luo is now fulfilling the second part of that dream. After working in Shanghai as office manager for the Center for International Fiscal Studies, she returned to Chengdu in 2009, was selected to the British Chamber of Commerce South West China Executive Committee as Representative in 2010, and reelected as a representative in 2011.
