Event Review - Young Professionals Business Network Official Launch

The Young Professionals (YPs) Business Network official launch was successfully held on Nov. 8th, 2011 at Yanlord Landmark. It witnessed over 140 guests including the Thailand Consul-General, Sri Lanka Consul-General, French Consulate officer, Sichuan and city governors, high-level management staff from Chevron, Shell, Faw-Volkswagen, the BCCSWC, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics CEO Alumni Club and the exclusive Yanlord Club.

Richard Morgan, Vice-Chair of BCCSWC  made an introduction about the working group. He explained how the YPs Business Network was established as a joint venture between the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China, private enterprises, NGOs, and government bodies to connect, guide and work with Chengdu's young professionals. He went on to discuss its aims to provide a network and establish solid relationships between these bodies and Chengdu's young business community, giving them opportunities to learn, grow and work together.

Sophie Xu, General Manager of BritCham Southwest China, Mr. Liu Longjun, Vice Chair of SGAA and CEO of Hongkong Longwu Group, and Ms. Gao Benhong, Assistant GM of Yanlord Land expressed their best wishes to the YPs Business Network and their desire to work together with the group in the future.

We were also honoured to invite Mr. Wang Xin, CEO of Sichuan Jueqi Investment Group and Mr. Yang Jing, Director of Chengdu Science and Technology, who made a short speech on investment and technology in Chengdu.

The event was highly praised by all in attendance, particularly those that were successful in one of the lucky draws, which included gift cards for hair salons, two bottles of wine (each valued at 2580RMB), and a pair of fabulous shoes valued at 3800RMB. Each woman in attendance was also lucky enough to receive a spa gift card worth 888RMB.

2011年11月8日晚，英国商会商业精英俱乐部成立仪式在成都仁恒置地广场举行。本次活动由英国商会主办，西南财大光华同学会和仁恒会协办，仁恒置地承办，并得到了各国领事馆、省市领导、本地及跨国企业的鼎力支持。泰国驻成都总领事馆总领事、斯里兰卡驻成都总领事馆总领事、法国驻成都总领事馆官 员, 四川省人民政府、攀枝花、乐山市委等政府要员，雪佛龙、壳牌中国、 英国阿特金斯集团、一汽大众、爪哇集团、太平人寿四川分公司等中外知名企业140余名高管出席了本次成立仪式。

英国商会副主席马皓天先生在活动上指出该俱乐部作为中国西南英国商会所设团体，和私营企业、政府部门和非政府机构都保持紧密联系及合作。通过举办各种活动、进行项目 对接，以及开展政府和非政府机构的合作项目，该俱乐部为职场精英创建商务平台、拓展职场关系网，建立和发展自己的事业，并与商业伙伴共同取得成功。

英国商 会总经理Sophie Xu女士，香港龙武集团董事长、西南财大光华同学会副会长刘龙君先生，仁恒置地总经理助理高本红女士致辞表达了对该俱乐部的良好祝愿，并表示该商业精英俱 乐部的诞生恰逢其时，必定会为成都的商业精英搭建更好的合作平台。

本次成立仪式还特别邀请了四川崛起集团董事长、蜀祥崛起股权基金总经理王鑫先生，成都市科技服务中心主任、西南财大光华同学会秘书长杨靖先生分别就 成都的金融市场、科技环境做了演讲报告。二位还表示希望同精英俱乐部保持紧密合作，为成都的商业精英贡献自己的力量。英国商会商业精英俱乐部成立仪式取得 圆满成功。该俱乐部的诞生得到了各方人士的重视和支持。以英国商会为依托，今后该俱乐部将整合各方资源，为西南地区商业精英服务。
