Technology Transfer: Do's and Don'ts for SMEs
On October 31st, 2011, the BCCSWC invited our members to attend a China IPR SME Helpdesk workshop on Technology Transfer: Do's and Don'ts for SMES.
The event began with opening words from Naomi Saunders, the Helpdesk's Visibility Manager, describing the Helpdesk's free IPR services for European SMEs in China.
The main speaker was lawyer Fabio Giacopello, partner at HFG Law Firm & IP Agency, China and expert on intellectual property rights. Specialising in litigation, anti-counterfeiting and IPR acquisition and management, Fabio spoke with authority on the essential rules of technology transfer. The attendees benefited from Fabio's knowlege of patents and the different types of technology transfer, and learned more about physical and legal protection measures for intellectual property.

Fabio then went on to detail some relevant case studies and share his own experiences, and attendees were able to ask questions regarding IP and their own enterprises.
The informative and interesting seminar concluded to warm applause, followed by drinks, canapés, and further discussion on IPR.
