The British Council is currently looking for a HR officer to join their team for a 6 month fixed-term contract. The successful applicant will contribute to the national objectives of the HR department and will provide general operational support to the HR team in Chongqing.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide general operational support to the HR department in Chongqing
- Prepare monthly local staff payroll
- Maintain and update all HR records
- Manage online leave system
- Co-ordinate with managers for recruitment and new staff arrangement
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of payroll application and payroll process
- English B2 (Aptis, IELTS 5.5 or equivalent)
- Chinese C1 (HSK 6 or equivalent)
- Knowledge of China labour and social security law
- Experience in a multi-national organisation
- Experience managing payroll systems
