Event Review: Protecting Your IP in China

On Wednesday December 7th, 2016 members of the British Chamber of Commerce met for a luncheon with Sean Dennehey on ‘Protecting Your IP in China’ at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu.

Sean Dennehey is the Acting Chief Executive of the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO). As such, he is responsible for advising Ministers on all IP policy matters, domestic and international, and for all aspects of the operation of the IPO

During the luncheon Sean introduced the UK IP Office and the highlighted some of the key trends and developments between the UK and China and across the global market. Sean also introduced the newly released IP in Education Handbook which was warmly received by our educational representatives.

The event was a great success in helping 17 of our members in the education industry on IP matters. We would like to express our thanks to Sean and the UK IP Office for spending the afternoon with us and also to the Ritz-Carlton for hosting our Luncheon.
