China Set to Double Investment in Tourism


Chinese investment in tourism will double to approximately 2 trillian yuan ($307 billion) by 2020, as the country looks to support its service sectors and boost consumer spending.

Online travel services, rural tourism, cruising and sports tourism were big investment ideas, according to the China National Tourism Administration. Fast growth will be beneficial for companies such as Dailian Wanda Group and Shanghai Jinjiang International Travel.
