Members of the British Chamber of Commerce in China elected a new Executive Committee for 2016-17 at our Annual General Meeting on 6 July in Beijing.
We would like to thank all of the 17 candidates who stood for election this year, as well as those others who attended the AGM and cast votes. Beyond the committee itself, we welcome all members to get involved in the Chamber’s activities; our 11 sector forums are a good place to start and to get to know other members and initiatives in your field.
The Exco defines the strategy of the Chamber and drives its work. Its members are business leaders from a wide range of industries, all of whom are experienced in UK-China trade and investment. Senior representatives of partner organisations, CBBC, UKTI, CBI and the British Council, also sit on the committee as Ex Officio members.
