Further to the innovation workshops organised last year together with our partner CAS Holdings in Beijing on 30th November and 1st December and then in London on 21st March this year the following guidance information has been produced in partnership with Rouse: CBBC- Innovation & Joint R&D in China – Intellectual Property Rights & Legal Guidance.
R&D activities are intended to give rise to new technology, which may be in the form of different types of IP: patents (including invention patents on products and processes, or utility model and design patents on the function or appearance of products), copyright (especially in the case of software) and know-how (which may be protected as a trade secret).
