Update: St. Regis new Management


June 29th, 2017, Chengdu, China-Marriott International announced the appointment of Michael Koltes as the new General Manager of The St. Regis Chengdu. Mr. Koltes will be fully in charge of the hotel’s daily operation and management.

With more than 12 years of experience as a General Manager, Mr. Koltes has gained extensive industry knowledge and operational skills in both pre-opening and operating properties in his career, working with various hotel groups in different cultures all over the world. Before joining the Marriott family, Mr. Koltes had been developing with Swissotel Hotels & Resorts since 2000 and worked in 8 diverse locations, with 2 pre-openings and 1 re-branding. Prior to that Mr. Koltes grew his expertise with the Hilton and the Mandarin Oriental, with a solid background in Food & Beverage. Mr. Koltes began his journey with Marriott International in June 2015 as the General Manager of The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Dalian.

Being an executive leader in the industry for over than 20 years, Mr. Koltes has valuable experiences to apply his creativity and innovation. Furthermore, he is passionate about mentoring younger hoteliers and helping them develop their own careers. Mr. Koltes is definitely the ideal leader to take The St. Regis Chengdu to its next level of success.

In the leisure time, Mr. Koltes chooses to read history related books, and to travel to ancient historical places and sites, as a means to get refreshed and energized.

 

June 29th, 2017 also saw, Chengdu, China-Marriott International announce the appointment of Mirko De Giorgi as the new Executive Assistant Manager of The St. Regis Chengdu. Mr. De Giorgi will be in charge some of the hotel’s operation and FB management.

With more than 20 years experiences in F&B, Mr. De Giorgi has gained extensive F&B knowledge and operational skills in several different properties in his career. Before joining the Marriott family, Mr. De Giorgi had been developing with Marco Polo Hotels for more than two years as Director of F&B. And he also has valuable experiences in many different kinds of hotel brands such as Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La and Radisson. The St. Regis Chengdu believes with Mr. De Giorgi‘s passion and experience, the hotel operation and F&B team will develop to another level in the future.

Mr. De Giorgi is also a gentleman having many avocations, in his spare time he likes cooking, football and tennis.
