Join the British Chamber this Wednesday for an exclusive interview with Sir Danny Alexander, Chair of the Scottish Connections Forum, Vice President and Corporate Secretary at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and the former Chief Secretary at the HM Treasury.
Sir Danny Alexander will address the immediate response to the COVID-19 crisis as a multilateral organisation, including the measures that AIIB is implementing to support nations feeling the brunt of COVID-19, as well as:
- Trade wars and global decoupling;
- Impact on the developing world – what are the prospects for a coordinated global response?
- The role of AIIB in supporting the UN Agenda 2030 – the cooperation between nations to combat key global challenges such as climate change and environment, health, security and sustainable development.
Last year, Sir Danny chaired the inaugural Scottish Connections Forum with the aim of promoting Sino-Scottish trade and investment.
Chaired by Sir Danny Alexander, the forum was attended by senior representatives of a range of Scottish businesses and organisations who shared ideas as to how the forum can help build new connections for Scottish businesses and maximise the impact of the Scottish community in China.
