One More Carbon-free Factory in Chengdu 成都市再添一家零碳工厂 (2023-10-4)
A wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL has obtained the PAS2060 carbon neutrality certificate issued by the globally renowned certification agency SGS, officially joining the ranks of carbon-free factories. This is the second carbon-free factory of CATL in Sichuan to receive this certification. Previously, Chengdu B&M Science and Technology was named the world’s first carbon-free factory for positive electrode materials. Volvo Cars Chengdu factory has become the first carbon-free manufacturing base for electric vehicles in the country.

Chengdu Sees over 6M Vehicles on Roads, the Most in China 成都汽车保有量全国第一 (2023-10-11)
As of the end of September 2023, the total number of motor vehicles in China reached 430 million, including 330 million fossil fuel vehicles and 18.21 million new energy vehicles. Chengdu, Beijing, and Chongqing each has over 6 million cars, ranking in the top three cities, with Chengdu surpassing Beijing and becoming the city with the most vehicles in the country.
截至 2023 年 9 月底，全国机动车保有量达 4.3 亿辆，其中汽车 3.3 亿辆、新能源汽车 1821万辆。从汽车保有量城市排名来看，成都、北京、重庆汽车保有量超过 600 万辆，位居前三。成都超越北京，成为全国汽车保有量最高的城市。
The 81st Worldcon Held in Chengdu 第 81 届世界科幻大会在成都举办 (2023-10-19)
On October 18, the 81st Worldcon (World Science Fiction Convention) opened at the Chengdu Science Fiction Museum in Pidu District. Worldcon is the largest, most eye-catching, time-honored and influential science fiction cultural themed event in the world. 2023 Chengdu Worldcon is the first time this grand event has entered China. Chengdu has thus become the second city in Asia to host Worldcon. On October 21st, the Hugo Award”, the highest award in the field of science fiction literature in the world, was unveiled at the Chengdu Science Fiction Museum.
10 月 18 日，第 81 届世界科幻大会在位于成都郫都区的成都科幻馆正式开幕。世界科幻大会是世界上最受瞩目、历史最悠久、规模和影响力最大的科幻文化主题活动，此次是这一盛会首次走进中国。成都也因此成为亚洲第二个举办世界科幻大会的城市。10 月 21 日，科幻文学领域的国际最高奖项——“雨果奖”在成都科幻馆揭晓。
Flights from Chengdu to Nha Trang and Sydney Launched 成都新开直飞越南芽庄、澳大利亚悉尼航线 (2023-10-29)
Sichuan Airlines plans to operate more than 260 domestic flights and more than 20 international and regional flights reaching over 120 cities all over the world, starting on the arrival of the winter-spring season on October 29, 2023. The new schedule of Sichuan Airlines will includes direct flights from Tianfu International Airport in Chengdu to Sydney Australia, five flights a week. Sichuan Airlines has also planned to launch direct flights from Tianfu International Airport to Nha Trang of Vietnam and increase the frequencies of popular international and regional direct flights from the airport to Rome, Osaka, Saint Petersburg, Cairo, Phuket and so on.
2023 年 10 月 29 日起，民航将进入 2023 年冬春航季。在新航季，川航计划执飞 260 余条国内航线、20 余条国际及地区航线，通航城市超过 120 个。其中，国际及地区航线方面，川航将新开成都天府直飞悉尼航线，每周 5 班。另外，还将计划新开成都天府直飞越南芽庄，并将在成都天府直飞罗马、大阪、圣彼得堡、开罗、普吉等热门国际及地区航线增加航班频次。
Chongqing Hosts Fifth China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Forum to Strengthen BRI Legal Ties

Chongqing – Under the theme of “Advancing a Closer China-ASEAN Community through Legal Cooperation,” the fifth installment of the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Forum was inaugurated in Chongqing, Southwest China, on November 1st.
This year’s assembly, attentive to the evolving practices and exigencies of China-ASEAN legal collaborations, fostered comprehensive dialogues and promulgated initiatives for bolstering the regional legal framework, promoting the cultivation of legal professionals with expertise in regional studies, and amplifying legal service partnerships within the ambit of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
