Leeds Management Consulting (Beijing) Co. Ltd is a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise in China operated by the University of Leeds. This is a subsidiary company of Leeds Venture Ltd. It is a company assisting the University of Leeds to establish and develop business connections in China. The company will act on behalf of its holding company maintaining effective relationships with China and China’s education community, various industry associations, government agencies, local organisations and Leeds alumni. Leeds Management Consulting (Beijing) Co. Ltd provides business consulting, recruitment activities and operational support to its holding company and various stakeholder engagement activities with various Chinese markets. The company provides its clients with a series of additional market-related services, including market research, organising delegations to and from Leeds, conference management and translation services.

Established in 1904, the University of Leeds is one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK, offering more than 300 undergraduate programmes as well as over 300 postgraduate programmes including PhD programmes, and the University owns its own foundation programme. Subject areas at the University of Leeds cover business, law, education, languages and literature, communication and media, politics and social sciences, engineering and physics sciences, mathematics, biological sciences, chemistry, food sciences, medicine and health, etc. Interdisciplinary teaching and research is also one of the specialities at Leeds.

The University of Leeds is located in the City of Leeds, which is in the west Yorkshire. The current total number of students at the University is over 39,800 including more than 27,000 undergraduate students and more than 10,000 postgraduate students. The University of Leeds is also a true international university, there are more than 9,000 international students studying at Leeds coming from more than 170 countries and regions in the world. There are also more than 8,700 staffs coming from more than 100 countries and regions.

The University of Leeds is well-known by its outstanding teaching and research quality. According to UK government’s Research Excellence Framework 2021 (the latest one), the University of Leeds is Top 10 in the UK in terms of research power. The University is also one of the founding members of the prestigious Russell Group Universities, one of the six Red Brick Universities, and a member of the Worldwide Universities Network.

The University of Leeds was ranked 82nd in the world according to the latest QS World University Ranking (QS 2025). In the latest QS World University Ranking by Subjects (2024), 26 subjects from the University of Leeds were ranked Top 100 in the world, including environmental sciences, earth and marine sciences, geology, philosophy, sports sciences, engineering, communication and media, modern languages, etc.
利兹大学积极在中国开展与当地高校及企业的沟通与合作，其中的典范案例便是刚刚在2024年度过十周年院庆的西南交通大学利兹学院。西南交通大学利兹学院是利兹大学与西南交通大学强强联合、集合两校优势学科建立的中外合作办学机构，目前开设材料科学与工程、计算机科学与技术、电子信息工程、机械设计制造及其自动化、土木工程等五个本科专业。
The University of Leeds actively develops communication and cooperation with local universities and enterprises in China. A typical example is the SWJTU-Leeds Joint School, which is a flagship partnership between the University of Leeds and Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). The Joint School is jointly established by both institutions combining the advantageous disciplines from both sides, and has just celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2024. It currently offers five undergraduate programmes, including Materials Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering with Transport.
