On Saturday, January 11th, the 13th Annual Burns Night Charity Supper was successfully held by the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China (BritCham SW), the Rotary Club of Chengdu, and the Chengdu Single-Malt Whisky Club (CMWC), at Miku, Fairmont Chengdu.
1月11日星期六晚，为庆祝著名苏格兰诗人Robert Burns的诞辰，由中国西南英国商会、扶轮社成都和成都威士忌俱乐部联合举办第十三届彭斯之夜慈善晚宴在成都棕榈泉费尔蒙酒店MIKU餐厅成功举办。
A Burns Night Supper is an annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796). Every year on 25th January, it’s Burns Night in Scotland.
彭斯之夜是苏格兰每一年为纪念苏格兰著名诗人罗伯特 · 彭斯而举行的传统节日。在苏格兰，每年的1月25日为彭斯之夜。
The event followed a schedule including the whisky introduction, Selkirk Grace，Rotary Club speech，an Address to the Lassies, a Reply from the Lassies，Immortal Memory to Burns, the Address to the Haggis. And, of course, poem reading，lucky draw and ceilidh dancing. This was all performed excellently by the seasoned guests.
活动按惯例，内容包含了威士忌介绍，感恩词，扶轮社代表发言，现场男士向女士的致敬，女士回以感谢，致敬 Haggis，对彭斯的缅怀。当然，还有彭斯诗歌阅读，抽奖环节以及必不可少的凯利舞！全部内容都由经验丰富的宾客们主导。

Robert Burns’ poems were then read by attendees and fundraised.
随后大家阅读了罗伯特彭斯的诗歌，并进行了募捐。

This year at the 13th Burns Night, we collected 22,760RMB from the Burns poem reading game and lucky draw tickets sales, together with the 7649.76RMB net income from this event, in total there will be 30,409.76RMB donated to
YMCA Peace and Love Summer Camp Project Special Fund via Chengdu Jinjiang District Social Organization Development Foundation.
