
On 29th May, the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China successfully held the newest edition of the Big Business Breakfast at our member hotel – Grand ParcVue Hotel Residence Chengdu.
中国西南英国商会于5月29日在会员酒店—— 成都仁恒格蓝柏薇酒店公寓成功举行了商务早餐会。


The event kicked off with an introduction to the BritChamSW and the background of the Big Business Breakfast. Each attendee then took part in a self-introduction session, sharing their professional expertise, key resources, and collaboration needs. This interactive icebreaker not only helped break the initial barriers but also paved the way for multi-dimensional resource matching—sparking potential partnerships across industries.
活动以介绍商会及早餐会背景开始。每位参会嘉宾通过自我介绍环节,分享了个人专业背景、资源优势与合作需求,打破了初识隔阂,也更有利于促成多维度资源对接。


During the insightful sharing session, Mr. Jagdeep Uberoi, Political and Economic Consul at the British Consulate-General in Chongqing, delivered an analytical presentation on “Sino-British Relations in 2025” He examined emerging priority areas for bilateral cooperation, potential opportunities, and practical challenges, offering participants forward-looking perspectives.
Mr. Kimi Liu, the Recruitment and Partnerships Manager at University of Leeds International Office, focused on the education sector. Through the lens of “Navigating Change” he interpreted new trends in China’s higher education development and explored the strategic positioning and development pathways for UK institutions in the new era.
The session sparked vibrant discussions as participants freely exchanged views on Sino-British Relations and educational collaboration, generating numerous constructive ideas through this intellectual cross-pollination.
在分享环节中,英国驻重庆总领事馆政治经济领事武鹏先生以2025年中英关系为主题,剖析了未来两国合作的新重点领域、潜在机遇与现实挑战,为与会者提供了前瞻性的见解;利兹大学招生与合作项目经理刘哲先生则聚焦教育领域,通过”应变求新”的视角,解读中国高等教育发展新趋势,并探讨英国院校在新时代背景下的战略定位与发展路径。大家围绕中英关系发展、教育合作创新等话题各抒己见,碰撞出许多富有建设性的观点。
