The Chamber manages 50+ events each year, offering gainful opportunities to network with like-minded business people. Members are able to attend events at either complimentary or preferential rates. Our Focus Groups are targeting specific sectors and drive the majority of our events.
The 2016 Mianyang Science & Technology City International High-Tech Expo will take place in Mianyang from 21st to 24th of September 2016.
The event is hosted by the Ministry of Technology, co-organized by Sichuan Provincial government, and is open to our UK member companies.
Our UK members from the ICT, automobile, hi-tech materials, aviation, 3D printing, robotic and chemical sectors will most benefit from this Expo and we would like to invite our Southwest members to attend and enjoy complimentary one to one meetings with potential targets and governors as part of the event.
During last year’s 2015 High-Tech Expo, 819 companies attended as both exhibitors and visitors, and 314 agreements worth a total of RMB100 billion were signed.

Arbitration is becoming an increasingly popular means of solving IP disputes among SMEs doing business in China and South-East Asia. As court cases in this region may often drag on for years and take a considerable toll on SMEs’ budget, more and more SMEs are turning to alternative dispute resolution methods like arbitration, which is more efficient and cheaper than court litigation.
On Monday, 08 August 2016, you are welcome to join Helpdesk expert Mr. Philippe Girard-Foley for a webinar session “Arbitration in IP Matters in China and South-East Asia”.
