Learning to read is essentially learning a code. Here at BIBS Chengdu we are introducing the synthetics phonics program “Letters and Sounds” so that we can teach the skills required for students to successfully read and spell in the English language.

When it’s Qiu Fen, people usually give out Qiu Niu to their friends and neighbors. The traditional way of making it is to use red or yellow paper and paint solar terms on it.

There are a lot of activities that we do during Moon Cake Festival. One of them is to make lanterns. Chinese mythology says that the skin of oranges and tangerines can keep out the bad luck.
