On Wednesday 28th of June, the British Chamber Southwest China hosted our last Education Meeting of the 2016-17 academic year. This meeting is also mildly momentous as it brought to a close the 17 previous education events held this year! The high levels of activity for this focus group is indicative however of the fact that the Education sector makes up our largest chamber sector at 30%.
Naturally, the first order of the day was for Ben Metcalf to both introduce new persons present along with providing everyone with updates and developments concerning the education sector. After Ben Metcalf finished his briefing however, there were a multitude of topics discussed by guests such as Chen Bing from the British council and Sherry Fu from the Manchester business school.
One of the most important parts of this meeting however, was to look to the future of both our members in the education sector and the future of the education focus group, therefore we discussed this future to a large extent during the meeting. We look forwards to meeting the education focus group much more come the 2017-18 academic year!
