On Saturday, January 20th, the 12th annual Burns Night was successfully held by the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China (BritCham SW), the Rotary Club of Chengdu, and the Chengdu Single-Malt Whisky Club (CMWC), at Miku, Fairmont Hotel Chengdu.
A Burns Night Supper is an annual celebratory tribute to the life, works and spirit of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796).
Every year on 25th January, it’s Burns Night in Scotland.
The event followed a schedule including the whisky introduction, Immortal Memory to Burns,
an Address to the Lassies, a Reply from the Lassies，the Address to the Haggis. And, of course, ceilidh dancing. This was all performed excellently by the seasoned guests.

This year at the 12th Burns Night, we collected 17,020RMB from the Burns poem reading game and lucky draw tickets sales, together with the 4398.11RMB net income from this event, in total there will be 21,418.11RMB donated to the YMCA Special Fund Via Chengdu Jinjiang District Social Organization Development Foundation, charity number 535100005864709499A19029.
