On 21st February, the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China successfully held the 13th edition of the Big Business Breakfast at our member hotel – Niccolo Chongqing. It was also the first Big Business Breakfast event in Chongqing.

2 月 21 日，中国西南英国商会在会员酒店–重庆尼依格罗酒店成功举办了第十三次商务早餐会。这也是中国西南英国商会首次在重庆举办早餐会活动。

The event kicked off with a welcome address from Sam Pu, the General Manager of British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China. Attendees then had the opportunity to introduce themselves and pitch their businesses, fostering connections, sharing needs, and offering support within the community.

早餐会由英商会西南总经理Sam Pu主持， 在他做了简短的活动背景介绍后，每位参与者通过一轮的自我介绍以及表达自己的需求或供给让参与者们更好地联系在一起。

Following the introduction, Steven Yang, Chairman of Governors Lucton School Chongqing and Ex-Co Member of BritCham SW, delivered the first speech titled “The beauty of landing a British business in the Southwest”. In his presentation, he used Lucton as a case study to explore this topic. This was followed by an engaging address from Anthony Preston, British Consul General in Chongqing, who shared his expert perspective through his speech “Strengthening UK-Southwest China Ties: Opportunities and Challenges”. Against the backdrop of the new UK government’s efforts to improve UK-China relations, he provided an in-depth analysis of the development prospects and strategic considerations for UK-China economic and trade cooperation in the Southwest region.

在大家的介绍之后，重庆莱克顿科技发展集团董事长、中国西南英国商会执行委员会成员Steven Yang首先发表了题为《英国企业落户西南的魅力与机遇》的讲话。他以莱克顿集团为典型案例，深入剖析了英国企业在西南地区发展的独特优势与市场潜力。随后，英国驻重庆总领事李遥先生以《深化英中西南地区经贸合作：机遇与挑战》为题，结合新任英国政府推动中英关系回暖的政策背景，全面分析了英中两国在西南地区经贸合作的未来前景、战略机遇以及面临的挑战，为深化双边合作提供了前瞻性思考。
